Description
Detailed Introduction:
F-GRADE DMD Insulation Paper is designed as a versatile and economical insulation solution in electrical applications. This laminated structure features a core polyester film (PET) layer sandwiched between two layers of non-woven polyester fabric, providing excellent dielectric strength and mechanical durability. It complies with the JB/T 4060-1991 standard and is manufactured using temperature-resistant, acid-free F-class adhesives. Available in thicknesses ranging from 0.10mm to 0.50mm and widths near 1000mm, it ensures reliable insulation performance in Class F electrical machines operating up to 155°C. The smooth surface allows easy impregnation with insulating varnishes, making it suitable for slot, phase, liner, and turn-to-turn insulation in motors and transformers.

FAQs
Q: What does DMD stand for? A: Dacron-Mylar-Dacron – the three-layer construction with polyester fiber (Dacron) on outer layers and polyester film (Mylar) core.
Q: How do I select the correct thickness? A: Consider voltage rating (higher voltage needs thicker material), mechanical stress, and space constraints. Refer to breakdown voltage specifications or contact SIDA technical support.
Q: Can it be used in oil-filled transformers? A: Yes, it’s compatible with transformer oils and maintains properties when immersed.
Q: What is the shelf life? A: 12 months when stored properly (15-35°C, ≤60% humidity, in original packaging).
Q: Is custom width available? A: Yes, custom widths from 5mm to 1500mm are available. Contact sales for details.
Q: What causes breakdown voltage to be lower after bending? A: Bending creates mechanical stress that may cause micro-defects. Our specifications ensure safe insulation even after bending (typically 15-20% reduction).
Q: Do you provide samples? A: Yes, contact our sales team for sample requests and testing materials.
