Description
Nomex® Aramid Paper Tapes are made from DuPont Nomex®, a synthetic aromatic polyaramid renowned for its combined thermal, chemical, and electrical resistance. These tapes provide robust fire retardancy (UL 94 V0), dimensional stability, and low elongation-to-break under extreme electrical and mechanical stresses. The tapes are engineered with industry-standard thicknesses (0.05 to 0.51 mm) and widths (10–980 mm), ensuring flexibility and easy integration into a wide spectrum of electrical assemblies.
Acrylic adhesive (Class 155°C) ensures excellent long-term bonding and thermal endurance, compatible with standard resins and transformer fluids, while rubber adhesive (Class 130°C) delivers high tack for rapid assembly and reliable insulation at moderate temperatures. Nomex’s superior impregnating agent absorption means insulation is not compromised during processing.
